Emmaline Pistachio-Face, or Emma for short. She got so much beauty there was no room left for brains, but who misses them? Not us!
Name: Emmaline Pistachio-face (Emma for short)
Breed & coloring: Piebald long-haired miniature dachshund
Birthdate: March 21-ish, 2005
Living with us since: December 2011
Favorite foods: BACON!!!
Adoption story: Emma spent the first 6 years of her life as a puppy mill dog in Mississippi, popping out litter after litter of pups. When the police shut down the bad puppy mill, she was sent to a miniature dachshund rescue located in our town. We were looking for a companion dog for Cruiser and found her on Petfinder.com. The rest is history!
Emma is a sweetheart. She loves to curl up next to you and sleep – for hours. She can be a little socially awkward, but considering her past, we forgive her for it. We say that she is in her “retirement home” and don’t expect much out of her except for puppy kisses and snores.

Emma’s favorite spot is on my lap.

Dog (and cat) pile!

Enjoying a nap.

My very first picture of Emma, December 2011.
I absolutely love how she is in her retirement home. I wish congress would outlaw all puppy mills in every state. Thank you so much for adopting this beautiful girl.
